"Distress" ed ........

"Distress"ed

Yes ... right guess there .... I have tried distressing for the first time... Not that I did'nt attempt distressing before but it was only limited for the edges. This the first card which is totally distressed .. and I loved the way it turned out.

When I think of some one I remember the times celebrated together ... ummmmmmmmm like I just go in a flashback ... and this can be depicted more effectively with faded , nostalgic colors ... hence the green and brown ( Plus ... I have just two distressing inks at this moment :) ) The butterfly depicts the happiness associated with those memories ........

I wanted to make a multipurpose card , something that can be used for more than one occassion. So finally I settled for the " Thinking of you" sentiment which can be suffixed with " on your birthday " or " on your anniversary " and so on......

Diwali Cards

Hey Peeps,

Here are some of the sample cards I made for Diwali.

Had to put my extra burden on my thinking cells to make them ... Having a lil one at home I wanted to avoid the glitters ... but Diwali is incomplete with out the glitters and sparks or so I feel....

So I ended up making these ....

Card 1 : Simple card with quilling ............ Too simple for me

Since most of the Diwali cards have diya's , tried this one with the Diwali star ....
Card # 3 : Simple .....
but with the most important Laxmi yantra rangoli on it

Card # 4

Card # 5 : This one has a cut envelope so that the diya can come over the envelope too ...

Card # 6

Card # 7

Now a days I craft a lot.... yes ... so loads of more pics to be uploaded...

Happy crafting,
